2 player usb controller setup

Post by jughead » Tue Jun 23, 2015 10:10 am

Hi all
Ive seen those mame /arcade kits that come with 2 x joysticks and 6 buttons each but 1 x single usb module.
Would this be tricky to setup in retropie as would it only detect it as 1 player if u know what i mean?

Many thanks :mrgreen:

Most of the people having a Xin Mo Controller or Juyao Dual Arcade with one usb module

Only thing they have to do is Add the following to /boot/cmdline.txt -- just add a space to the end of the existing entry, so it is all on one line):

usbhid.quirks=0x16c0:0x05e1:0x040

The first two numbers are the vendor ID 16c0 and product ID 05e1.

If you have a "Juyao Dual Arcade", it is the same device, but the vendor ID is 0314 and the product ID is 0328:

usbhid.quirks=0x0314:0x0328:0x040

You can find your vendor/product using lsusb command

after this retropie will recognize that there are 2 joysticks with buttons!
